It’s ridiculous

You wait forever for it to come along

You want it all

All or nothing

And when it finally arrives

It’s too much

One at a time, please

Form an orderly queue

But tough shit, compad

It’s all here

It’s all or nothing

To deal

To survive

It’s what you wanted

Whether you knew it or not

 

And only now your fear sets in

So you look for the back door

But the back door’s fucking padlocked

And the fire is growing;

No longer is wood simply kindling

It’s burning

Raging

Fucking taking over

It’s time for you to leave

To run and to hide

But no matter how fast you run

Nor how hard you try

Your feet simply will not move

You are stuck

And the exit is only a step away.

 

You are running

Constantly running

But the exit is always

Only a step away.
